Gather any records that you want to include in the inventory, such as receipts or appraisals. Expect to spend 2-3 hours with us during the inventory based on the size of your home.

Yes, I would prefer that you are present to discuss the items and provide any specific information that you want to include. Obviously children and pets may slow down the process.

No, the house does not have to be in perfect order. The most important thing is that I can see the items and take clear photos of them.

We begin the recording process by going room to room, photographing and recording the details of your belongings. You may be as involved as much or as little as you like, although, we do encourage client participation to ensure maximum accuracy. You can provide the item values as we go or we can sit down following the inventory. We do require you to be present during the documentation of jewelry and any other small, high priced items you may want us to document.

These areas may be included if they are easily reached and items are organized and neat. On site storage buildings may be included but not off site.

 

 

We do not place values on items. If you have high priced items like jewelry, artwork or collectibles, we highly recommend that you obtain a professional appraisal. You’ll then want to consider insuring these under a Personal Articles Policy, as Home Insurance policies typically don’t provide much coverage for these assets.
